TRAINING FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTITIONERS

In this day and age, we cannot develop a crisis communications strategy without incorporating a plan for cyber threats. In the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, 90% of security professionals had already witnessed a growing volume of attacks over the previous 12 months. The hastened global shift towards homeworking during Covid-19 further worsened the situation.

Cyber security breaches can leave organisations with no internet access, system failure, loss of data and information, and the loss of sensitive or confidential data. Organisations can suffer severe legal, financial, or reputational damage following a cyber-attack. In Singapore, the number of ransomware attacks increased in recent years.

This course will prepare you with key steps and best practices to build a solid cyber crisis communication plan and manage well after a cyber-attack. It will also equip you with the basic knowledge and skills to respond to negative online sentiments, rumours, fake news and misinformation.

At the end of this highly interactive workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Plan your crisis management and communication for cyber threats
  • Devise response strategies and protocols for various cyber incident
  • Manage your internal and external stakeholders effectively
  • Manage hostile situations and negative social media sentiments

The programme includes lunch and two tea breaks.
